Kathryn sat down at the table, putting her plate in front of her. She glanced over at Chakotay, who was also, staring at his food. “So do you know what this ‘sauce’ is actually.
“I was just wondering that myself. It smells a little funny.”
Kathryn lifted her plate to her nose, “it smells like…” she sniffed the contents again, “like soap.
Chakotay did the same and grimaced at Kathryn.
“Mr. Neelix, what exactly did you put on the noodles?” the Captain asked curiously.
“Well, let me tell you, I was going through the data base looking for something different for dinner, when I saw this Palmolive, It looked absolutely delicious, so I replicated it, tried it, and liked it, and here it is.
“Mr. Neelix, did you bother to ask the computer what it was?”
“Well no. It could not immediately find that information, and I was in a hurry, I just saw the picture, the lovely lady, the beautiful hands, and I thought she knew what she was doing, so.”
“It’s dish soap,” was all that Kathryn had to say.
“Oh my!” he answered, as he glanced around the
room. Most of the crew were pushing their dishes away, and some,
well, some would be paying a visit to sickbay.
